Po 39 latach leżakowania w beczkach po bourbonie, rum został wysłany do regionu Bordeaux, aby leżakować przez 12 miesięcy w beczkach z amerykańskiego dębu z bednarki Quintessence. Dictador 1978 2 Masters Château D'Arche Release 2019 is a molasses rum from Colombia. In its 2 Masters series, Dictador brings together the skills of cellar masters from around the world, united on the occasion of a vintage.

In this case, Hernan Parra, Dictador's cellar master, chose to share a very old barrel of rum distilled in 1978. After 39 years of ageing in bourbon barrels, it was sent to the Bordeaux region to be matured for 12 months in American oak barrels from the Quintessence cooperage. This barrel, which had previously housed a Sauternes Premier Cru, was chosen by Jérôme Causson, cellar master at Château d'Arche.
